I took this photo on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic.
Most of my co-travelers were strangers, but by the end we are all close friends. Teamwork does that.
One of my teammates was planning to sponsor a child at one of the schools we were visiting. Child sponsorship pays for the education and care of the student, something many of the families in this community cannot afford.
When met this little guy and found out he didn’t have a sponsor, he knew he was “the one.” The little guy was SO SHY, but he did not want to let go of my friend’s hand. He knew he had been chosen, that this was HIS sponsor. It was the most precious scene in the world that day.
